Looking back on my time with Digital Canvas Academy, Robot Form B was a game-changer for me. The way we started with breaking down everyday objects into simple shapes really helped me build confidence before diving into the human form. It was the perfect foundation. Mr T made a huge impact — he explained things clearly, gave genuine feedback, and always pushed us to draw with more freedom instead of overthinking every line. That encouragement really helped shift my mindset as an artist. It was an experience that shaped how I approach art today, and I’m excited to see what Dweba School brings next!

It was my first time upon the digital art. I used to draw in papers and pens, but ever since I was introduced to the academy, I was learning and I can do more than I ever thought. I struggled with painting and making it real life. Through lessons and work, I simply learnt to draw the way I did, though I made mistakes or art that doesn't go the way they wanted. But it was simply a lesson to learn as I chose a different artstyle and stick with it. I enjoyed the colors mostly but also enjoyed the pen options. I can manage the layers to however I want and change the filter of it. I don't think I would achieve this if I never knew about Krita. It has been a brilliant course to be part of and experience it for myself. I hope this can help inspire the next wave of artists.👍👍👍👍

Tumelo was the very first art teacher I ever had, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to digital art. He taught with so much patience and passion, and you could tell how deeply he cared; not just about the art, but about his students. His feedback was always encouraging and it actually helped me grow. When I applied his suggestions, the improvement in my work was like night and day. He created a space where I felt safe to learn, experiment, and make mistakes, and most importantly, where I started to believe in myself. He’s patient, kind, inspirational, and truly gifted at what he does. I’ll always be grateful to have started my journey with him.

The courses helped me a lot with how I do my character design process, warm up exercises, thumbnailing and so much more. It's helped me improve my work substantially since then. I'm still so glad that I was given such a wonderful opportunity to learn the basics again and to fully grasp it. I was also given helpful advice/feedback by Tumelo that felt reassuring and never felt overly critical. If I could experience the course again, I would! I have lovely memories of it!
